Fire Boot Classic 2023 was a Huge Success!
On Saturday, September 9, 2023 we hosted our 10th annual Fire Boot Classic fundraiser at Castaway in Burbank. Ellyn Leyva from ABC7 Eyewitness News served as our event MC, and we honored Marv Williams, retired Captain from the Los Angeles City Fire Department at the event.
This year's event was a huge success and raised more than $160,000 - which was the most successful Fire Boot Classic to date. The event also included poker and cornhole tournaments, silent auction, photo booth, DJ, dancing, a mixologist who provided an array of specialty cocktail tasters, and a liquor lob.

Congrats to our Tournament Winners
Poker Tournament Winners:
The grand prize winner of the Poker Tournament was Robert William who serves as a Police Captain for the City of Glendale, CA. Marv Williams, LAFD, took the award for the Firehouse Challenge (for the third year in a row), which is the last standing firefighter in the poker tournament. He was also the honoree at this year’s event.

Cornhole Tournament:
1st place team: Mike Barilla, Retired Pasadena Fire Department, and current Fire Family Foundation Board Vice Chair and Kaitlyn Barilla (Mike’s daughter) won the tournament for the second year in a row.
