At the Fire Family Foundation, our mission is to provide support and financial assistance to firefighters and their families in times of need.
We have four core programs that allow us to carry out this mission:
- Financial Assistance Grants: Provides support directly to firefighters and their families during times of financial need.
- College Scholarships: Aids in supporting educational pursuits for firefighters or their family members.
- Disaster Relief: Provides immediate support in response to US federally declared disasters.
- Fire Charity Grants: Supports other fire-related charities to strengthen the broader firefighting community.
The Foundation accepts applications for Fire Charity Grants and Firefighter Relief Fund Grants on a rolling basis.
The Scholarship application typically opens in March of each year, with a mid-May deadline.
Disaster Relief - to allow for immediate deployment, the Foundation only accepts in-person applications for disaster relief kits from firefighters impacted by US federally declared disasters. For more information about past disaster relief kit deployment, please click here.
